Ghost Hunters Mid Season Premiere

Well if you're a die hard Ghost Hunter fan you wont have to wait for long before the Mid Season Premiere airs. Come June 12 th,  9/8 c the members of the Taps team will be back in the saddle again. Touting themselves as "Televisions #1 paranormal reality series" we can only speculate as to whether they will live up to the billing. In the past viewers as well as TPB readers have conveyed the shows have lost something in the years to follow their initial success. We've pondered the whys and what ifs, and what abouts no end to try and figure out if Ghost Hunters could improve on their failing popularity. Many of you, our loyal and most brilliant readers shared your thoughts and here's what some of you had to say..:

1. Eva ThomasDecember 7, 2012 at 7:13 AMI have noticed a huge difference in Ghost Hunters lately. For me it just does not have the zing it did in the past. It is like the zest of doing the job is a little lost, if that makes sense. 
2. Richard C RyderOctober 4, 2012 at 9:15 AM I think that the show is better without Grant so far... with that being said, I wonder who will step up and take his place. I think the shows so far this season seem to be more based on the roots of when their show started. I like what they've done lately and think that they have had some incredible finds, especially last night's show.
3. AnonymousFebruary 20, 2013 at 11:23 AM Honestly, I can't watch the show anymore. We are left with two very pompous and conceited individuals,(Steve and Jason) and the show just seems so empty. I was growing old of the show anyway, "Hey, did you hear that?" "Is anybody there?" "What was that?" etc. I've done some growing up since the show began and it seems so lame now. Grant was a class act, the genuine article, no airs or posturing, just professional investigating. I really looked up to him. Steve seems like such a sneaky opportunist and Jason is so full of himself that there is no balance between the team. And then all the new characters, they really lack personality. Yeah, I'll continue to watch "Ghost Hunters," the reruns when the show was a class act! Sorry guys, but I think  Grant was smart to leave before the show loses it's luster. All I can say is, dudes, you really should stop while your show is still afloat, you're just going to ruin it for the entire paranormal genre...

AnonymousFebruary 15, 2012 at 8:20 PM  I must say that Grant was one of my favorites and I believe due to the ridiculous guest stars, flash light tricks and Grant not wearing his wedding ring might have something to do with him leaving. I guessed who was going to be leaving, but the reasons why are still up in the air. Plus, Grants hasn't been looking too well lately. Again, it could be due to his health or home-life. I just wish he would come out and say why and get all out in the open. We love you and wish you would stay, but we understand.

Ghost Hunters returns September 5th

That's right my paranormal readers, Ghost Hunters new season begins September 5, Wednesday at 9/8c pm. What can we expect this season? Well if the little glimpses I've seen on the site are any indication, it seems like the show is somewhat reverting back to it's roots,....some. Touting "with Grant gone the rules have changed" the show is definitely fanning the flames of curiosity. One has to wonder exactly what rules they are referring to in the first place? 
We did notice this much, within the first seconds of the promotional season tape was the all too familiar "what the f$%^& was that?" TPB has said many times we're not a fan of the level of swearing on any of the paranormal shows, including Paranormal Adventures.  The constant "bleeping" during every episode is mind numbing and distracting. For Pete's sake, you're ghost hunters....what do you mean "what the f#$%^ was that? What do you think it was??? You're in a place reported to be haunted..go find out what it was...and say while you're at it...how about aiming the camera in the direction you heard the noise? We're not interested in your expression and reaction, we want to see what you see, assuming you see anything..

Oh well that's our tip for the day, we will be tuning in, and yes we're taking the "now that Grants gone the rules have changed" bait.  Hopefully we'll see some good changes, some actual homes and families being helped..and no more celebrities!! Your thoughts?

Crying emoticon (Photo credit: Wikipedia) Well we knew this day would come, Ghost Hunter and TAPS co founder Grant Wilson has flown the coupe. SyFy, who never misses a beat, has now set up a place for those who were Grant Wilson fans to leave him a message via their SYFY forum. For those who just can't let go of Grant going, this may be the place you can finally send him your well wishes and a heartfelt farewell.

For the rest of us, there should be a "suggestions for Ghost Hunters Post Grant Wilson" forum. The Good news is, While they may not have it on the SyFy website, you can certainly place your suggestions here for the rest of us to read and TPB will make sure our masses of readers will see your thoughts and who knows, maybe an actual Ghost Hunter may see it..

Grant Wilson to leave Ghost Hunters

While it is somewhat unclear why Grant Wilson is leaving  Ghost Hunters, it comes as no surprise that someone would leave this show at some point. I have often wondered how on earth these married men can manage going on case after case, leaving behind wives and children.

Wilson did indicate that the job presented some stress which does make one wonder just what strain may have resulted from his participation on the show.  I must say Grant Wilson was one of my favorites on the show.

During Wilson's time on the show, it went through some strange moments that weren't paranormal. The show did go off the beaten path for a while, and as far as TPB is concerned, the show needed to get back to basics.

The basics being, small crew, more home based investigations ie: real people, not libraries, museums, and for Pete's sake no more theaters!  We expect these places to be in all possibility "haunted." To add to that list please no more celebrity ghost hunting, it's just too obvious.

Another disturbing and off  putting facet of the show is the repeated "bleeps" needed to compensate for the swearing that is commonly done during investigations. I mean geesh, have some respect for the living and the dead!

TPB would cry less if some of the more verbose members of the team were saying good bye. By more verbose, we mean Amy Bruni who seems to do more talking and less listening during each investigation. Many times

Tonight's episode also struck yet another nerve with TPB, where as Investigators Amy Bruni and investigator Adam Berry were busy digging through city hall records instead of investigating ghosts.

I found this type of activity to be very unprofessional to say the least and it amazes me that some of these investigators seemingly get away with a lot of frivolous behavior and tomfoolery. I shudder to think back in the day when Brian Harnois was on the show, if Grant or Jason would have been so lenient.
