If you've missed out on Dead Files while in pursuit of new paranormal shows to watch, we'd like to introduce you to one of our new favorites, Dead Files. This show has compelling stories, and an interesting take on the paranormal.

Utilizing the skills of a law enforcement detective and the other-worldly skills of a psychic, this show has a format that is surprisingly interesting to watch. If you haven't tuned into this show yet, you should. Let us know what  you think of the show and we'll keep you updated.
In the latest episode on Dead Files that aired on the Travel Channel last night the show's resident psychic Amy Allen revealed some interesting facts about Lizzie Borden and her sister. Including that there were varying degrees of incest in the home between Mr. Borden and both of his daughters, as well as an incestuous relationship between Lizzie and her older sister Emma.

TPB has read and researched many theories relating to the Lizzie Borden case and there have been a great  deal of "theories" about who killed the Bordens, and why they were killed. TPB has read everything from Lizzie was a frustrated lesbian to being a person suffering from bi polar disorder. Dead Files psychic Amy Allen corroborated  what psychic Sylvia Brown revealed on Montel Williams show that Lizzie was bi polar and not mentally responsible for her actions.

What TPB finds a little hard to believe is the the current Bed and Breakfast owners are still touting that they "don't know what they are dealing with." At the onset of the Dead Files show that aired last night, we see Lee Ann Wilbur stating "We don't know what we are dealing with."

Yeah right. Not only do you know what you're dealing with, you've also had numerous psychics, ghost investigations, and paranormal researchers and television shows come to the home since it has been in your possession. With that being said, one has to come to one conclusion, at this point its all about free publicity for the Inn isn't it? If that is the case, fine, say so, but don't act like you're still in the dark about what's going on there..as you see in the Montel Williams clip, Wilbur has had this in the public eye a long long time and the chances of her still not knowing what is going on there seems way hard to believe.

3/4's of America know what she's dealing with. The house is haunted, but it is also a business, and the fact that it keeps showing on on various media outlets suggests money as a motive, not a mystery still left to discern. Just be honest about it.

  2. I love the show DEAD FILES! The Lizzy Borden house is in fact a business but it is also a fascinating piece of American Folk Lore and Legend and I for one will tune into any show about the place just to catch new insight or photos of the house. I do not think the owners are being disingenuous, I feel they are perhaps skeptics or they are afraid like I have been of the activity people have witnessed at our own home and we constantly try to put up explanations for the activity. Even if they were just trying to cash in on the phenomenon its not a bad or dishonest thing in my opinion. Thanks for a well written article and many blessings to you.

    1. The reason we bring up the Ouija board is simply to say, if they are skeptics why are they using a Ouija board, which, we feel isn't a good idea.

    2. First and foremost thank you for your comment, we love hearing from the readers :-). In the episode referred above Amy did discover a Ouija board under the sofa in the living room where Mr. Borden was murdered, and so the owners have had seances many times in the home, not sure that is all that skeptical in otherwords. I have to respectfully disagree with you that they are skeptics, they've owned the home for many years and have had the home and the activity verified many times, additionally, they have also reported having experiences themselves in the home. We feel they know they have a haunted home, but as Amy said, the spirits are tired of being bothered and constantly summoned to put on a show..literally..We do agree that the home is a fascinating piece of American history though and that is why we can't get enough of learning new things about Lizzy and the Borden family..We don't have a problem with them cashing in on the phenomenon, all we say is, after all these years and multiple investigations, it is hard to believe they are still looking for "answers." Blessings to you :)PS. Dead Files is one of our favorite paranormal shows too.

  3. Amy on Deadfiles makes no sense. She'll often tell the same family to get the assistance of a Warlock or Witch to help expel a demon, and also to have a "Priest" bless the home with Holy Water. For one thing, Priests do not believe in Witches or Warlocks and vice versa, so why mix the two together for assistance??? Talk about a contradiction in religions. I do believe in spirits, I've seen 2. But they didn't look like gouls hiding. The ghost I saw was of a child and she looked as solid as an body else. The only difference was she didn't speak, she just smiled and she just disappeared. I don't believe in short little ghouls hiding out in the corner of a room. I think she is mostly a fraud, mixing intuition with alot of imagination and elaboration on facts she and alot of people already can find out via the town historian or just by doing some background research on the history of a place.

    1. We understand what you are saying Anon, but at the same time, when dealing with unseen forces it is not necessary that those you summon for help all agree with eachother's religion and or methodology. When you are dealing with different "types" of spirits, using different religious backgrounds can be effective since it covers all grounds. Many people don't always know the religion of the spirit they are dealing with either, so using different experts can't hurt.

  4. A warlock isn't a male witch. A male witch is a witch. Warlock means 'Oathbreaker'. How will bringing a oathbreaker into an already delicate supernatural situation *ever* a good idea??? I specifically reference S04E13. I realize this is a show for entertainment, but really??? A little research would prevent these errors.
