Alien abduction or lucid dreams?

A grey alien; this depiction of aliens became ...A grey alien; this depiction of aliens became popularized in Ufology subculture during the 1960s in the wake of the Betty and Barney Hill abduction reports. (Photo credit: Wikipedia) I decided I'd do a little research on alien abductions and see what I could dig up for my readers. Sadly, a lot of it was silly, couldn't be crossed checked or was simply b.s. I did run across a concept through my research that bears some discussion and perhaps some thought regarding alien abductions.

Having never been abducted myself, (not to my knowledge anyway) it is hard for me to understand how the whole process takes places, seemingly always in the dead of night, while the abductee is sleeping. Now I do know there are documented cases where the abductees claim to have been fully awake when the abduction occurs initially, but they always, emerge from the experience “waking up.” There never is a story that indicates that the abductee walks straight into a police station after getting beamed back down to earth. So even if they were initially awake, the abduction seems to “end” when the abductee rouses from some sort of unconsciousness, or sleep.

So naturally I am interested in this latest theory/explanation that the abduction is the actual result of a lucid dream? Is that possible? How about the well documented case of Betty and Barney Hill, who both allege that they were abducted by aliens in 1961? They both couldn't possibly be having the same lucid dream could they? Not likely. Reports do indicate though, that Betty Hill did have very vivid dreams 10 days after the abduction.

One then has to recall also the wildly reported story of the four men in Allagash Maine that also claimed to have encountered a large glowing object while  camping in the Allagash wilderness in 1976. I have personally been to that part of Maine, and I can tell you from first hand experience, it's very, well, different. You do get the sense that you're in a movie sequel to the Deliverance when you're there. At any rate this too, was a widely reported incident and again, can four young men have the same lucid dreams, at the same time?

It may yet still be a relevant explanation for many that have claimed alien abduction, and like with most reports, videos, pictures, the majority of actual authentic cases are quite small. One has to make every effort to rule out all other rational explanations, and lucid dreams has a place on that list. However, where there are more than one involved, one has to go another route. What say you?

Some researchers and scientist claim these lucid dreams started a long time ago, and were implanted in the imagination via comic strips and alien stories and movies, but my question is, where did they get those ideas from? If you study some Egyptian art and early renderings from long ago, you'll see they were drawing these space men way back then..who planted that idea? Surely not a movie, or watching too many Star Trek episodes.

The phone call

Info from the English WP http://en.wikipedia.o...Image via WikipediaWe all have dreams that either are just figments and fragments of our daily lives or imagination, and then there are the "other" dreams.  Not everyone has them, but many have. Dreams are often believed to be subtle ways of communication between the living and their loved ones that have passed.

One morning I woke up from a dream that was so real and odd and so out of left field I "had" to pay attention to it. My step-grandfather, Johnny was calling me on the phone in my dream. I remember in my dream picking up the phone and being given a message. Johnny was my grandmother husband on my father's side. His message was simply to make sure my father knew he needed to see about his mother.
The urgency and gravity was telepathically communicated to me through the dream. I awoke promptly and because the dream seemed and felt of great urgency I went straight to the kitchen to call my mother. I held the phone in my hand and placed the receiver up to my ear, and before I can dial a number I hear my mother's voice. "Mischelle?."

That was odd and took me aback that my mom was already on the phone and that I must have picked up the phone at the precise moment she dialed. My phone did not even have time to "ring."  I quickly uttered that I had a message for her and my dad, and that it was about our grandmother, when my mother interrupted "well that is the reason I am calling, your grandmother is in the hospital, and your daddy and I will be going to Beaufort today..."
Say what you want, but I will never ever doubt that spirits can and do communicate through dreams. It is not a "belief" to me, it is FACT.

Things your child knows from beyond

Arcadia Child My photos that have a creative c...Image via Wikipedia
There are a number of research and studies, and reports of children having the ability to accurately describe a family member they have never seen. There are many theories as to why your child may be able to specifically detail a deceased loved one.

Many psychics will suggest that most all children have this ability. Why?
Other than a person on a death bed, a child is actually the closest person you will ever meet from "the other side". Recently entering life, their spirit still retains memory from the other realm. Family members on the other side often are with the spirits that chose their parents prior to being born. The child while very young still retains this dream like pre-birth encounter. Some children dream of these deceased family members, as many family members choose dreams to interact with living loved ones.

Your child may have specific detailed dreams of someone that has passed away even 20 years or more before their birth. If you suspect your child may being doing this, press the child for as much detail as possible, and find ways to validate the details as well. You would do well to also document any such occurrences as they fade as the child ages. It is also important that you do not foster a false memory either. Be careful that you do not over tax your child, as they will try to produce more than the truth just to please you. This phenomenon is a prevalent gift seen in many children, however, many times it fades with age as parents brush it off or do not take the time to help the child understand what happened to them. The distance time provides along with the distractions of life often pull the child further away from this ability.

Children born today are already old souls according to many. They have lived many lives prior to choosing you as a parent. As such you will notice that your child will seem, even in infancy far wiser than you, yourself were. With each life lived, knowledge is acquired by the soul. While we may have no consciousness of this knowledge it is stored safe inside the soul. As man evolves with each generation, he is born holding more natural "soul" knowledge than he had in prior lifetimes. It is not important that you remember or have the ability to tap into what you have learned and experienced in past lives. It is important that your soul does. The soul keeps returning to gain more experience and life lessons that were not acquired before. This is why your child picked you. So the next time your child says they didn't ask to be born, you can tell them, "oh yes you did..".

*******Premonition Dreams

John Lennon rehearses Give Peace A Chance by R...Image via WikipediaYou may have read a lot about dreams and premonitions, and I have only in my lifetime, briefly given them notice. However, there was a time in my life where dreams that held messages came to me fast and furious.

Why? Well I'm no expert but I will say this, I was deep into astrology at the time, studying it, and even doing friends and family members astrological charts. It was great fun but I think, some how, I opened myself up to something I did not expect.
There came a point and time where I had a series of what I call "recurring dreams" which played out every night for a straight week. The dreams were as follows:
I'm wondering down hallways, brightly lit, yet blurry and fuzzy, as if I'm drugged or in a daze.
I have an overwhelming sense of death and doom.

John Lennon
Cover of John Lennon
Music is softly playing in the background, vaguely familiar, but no song I could tell you the name of.I only knew that it was very melancholy, and at the same time quite beautiful. I knew the voice. It sounded like John Lennon, but being that he really was before my time, "well, practically"..I didn't know what the name of the song was.In the morning, I would awaken in a deep state of unshakable, unmistakable depression. A pure sense of dread and doom. At the time I assumed that it must have meant something horrible was going to happen, "was I about to die?" Is this why I am walking through a hospital hallway?

On the seventh day, I did not have the dream. I woke up relieved that the dream that had been invading my life over the past week had finally given me peace and left. I went on about my daily routine, did the usual housework etc. Later that day I got a disturbing phone call. It was my 32 year old brother Troy. He was calling me from work, and had explained to me he had a tingling sensation running down his left arm. I knew the symptoms of a heart attack as my father had already had one. Immediately I told him to take two aspirins and I'd call my mom and dad to come take him to the hospital.
Well I called my parents, who I must say, were shockingly calm and nonchalant. No where near as startled as I was.

They came to my brothers place of work, picked him up and instead of taking him straight to the hospital were driving him home!!!!!!!!! Home was their house that was way out of town!! Since my brother had his car at work, he and my mother drove in his car,  and my dad drove in his truck. The worse possible thing imaginable happened, while Troy was driving the car, he suddenly just passed out, and not only that, he wasn't breathing. It was like he literally dropped dead. My mother some how managed to stop the car, and my father seeing they didn't continue following stopped and tried to resuscitate my brother. To no avail. An ambulance was summoned by a passing motorist and away to the hospital they fled where Troy, had arrived with no vitals, in essence, dead on arrival.

My father called me and told me I'd better come down to the hospital. All the way there, I cried and made the bargains a fearful person makes under such desperate times. Every mile I got closer to that hospital the more the dread and desperation, and despair became. My father greeted me as I walked up to the emergency entrance and broke down in my arms. I knew this was bad, this was very bad. We were brought into a special waiting room. A priest/pastor came in. Everything suggested the worse case scenario. We soon learned that my 32 year old brother had what they call  a Sudden Death Heart Attack. He remained in a coma for some time.

We didn't know how much brain damage he had suffered. In a few weeks he did waken, but had to remain in hospital for several weeks and was eventually transported to another hospital that dealt with heart problems specifically. For weeks there were many trips to the hospital, many walks down long brightly lit hospital aisles, in an emotional blur.
My dreams foretold of something to come, and so they had come to pass. The blessing was at this time, no one died, but someone came so close to dying that possibly the only way the dream could convey that was to make me sense death...oh and the song, that was playing in the background in my dream, I told you about earlier? Was none other than: John Lennon's, Number 9 Dream,
the phrase I kept hearing in my dream---

So long ago
Was it in a dream, was it just a dream?
I know, yes I know
Seemed so very real, it seemed so real to me
