TPB believes that the show may have started going south for a while now and thus was trying new things like getting celebrity guest stars to investigate haunted locations. However, there's a fine line between finding creative ways to improve ratings and losing credibility in the process. Is having celebrities on the show a move in the right direction? Or do they need to go back to what they started out being, a credible investigation team looking to help those families in need of answers? What say you readers?
I find it strange that the other girl was set off on the international team all of a sudden. She even looked surprised when it was announced... I believe he had an affair with her and his wife found out and he is leaving to try to save his marriage. I wonder if he will continue to work with the bald guy at Roto Rooter...
ReplyDeleteThat seems to be what a lot of our readers are saying.
DeleteI'm not sure Ghost Hunters will survive, although I don't think the demise of the show has anything to do with Grant. I think the quality and believeability of the show has been falling off for a few seasons now, and people are just losing interest.
ReplyDelete@Jess, I'd have to agree with you on this. We see this with shows on television time and time again. A show has success, then the networks get greedy and start tinkering with the original successful platform to try and get more ratings and in the end they kill their own cash cow in the process. Many of our readers have said the show needs to return to it's roots and get back to "helping" families with hauntings. That was the connection to the public, they were dealing with everyday people with paranormal problems.
