Things currently going against the show is the fact that it has long since wandered from it's original platform, and this was prior to Wilson's departure. Now the show seems to be trying to recapture that original "feel" it had in the beginning is it too little too late?
The general public is a fickle bunch, and with so many paranormal shows out there to choose from, will SyFy feel the pressure to amp up the show using more smoke and mirrors, flashlights, coat tugs and the ever present never seen "shadow" that is just as elusive as BigFoot?
We'd like to see SyFy do the most important, and possibly most intelligent approach, get the viewers involved. Get their opinions on what they're doing wrong, what they're doing right and then adjust the show accordingly..
One thing we don't want to see is a lot of shows producing lame, bogus and ridiculous content just to make a buck..if they are going to do that, fine, don't call yourself a reality show..and for Pete's sake, don't pee on our leg and tell us its raining..
Again readers, lets send out a message, let's tell these shows what we'd like to see, more this, less that..but be legitimate.. We'd like to see TAPS utilize guest pyschics, more tools of the trade and more follow up shows of families they "helped" in the past.
Readers?
I have noticed a huge difference in Ghost Hunters lately. For me it just does not have the zing it did in the past. It is like the zest of doing the job is a little lost, if that makes sense.
ReplyDeleteIt sure does..sometimes it just takes one shift in the momentum or energy in the dynamics of a show to throw it off kilter..and I think in this case, the show was going awry for a while now, Grant leaving may have just propelled it a little faster..
