Ever wondered which states in the United States gets the most UFO reports? According to the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC) data base, these states have the highest reported sightings yearly:

Washington: 3825 (this really isn't a shocker, but some may be to you)
Texas: 3451
Pennsylvanian: 2093 (I don't know why but this was a surprise)
New York: 2845
Illinois:2415
Florida: 3403 (I wonder if this includes illegal “Aliens”)
Arizona: 2405
And, drumroll please.....the state with the most UFO reported sightings:
California with a whopping: 8670!
Now that doesn't surprise me, or does it? I'd personally like to have the reports subject to a blind survey to find out how many of these sightings were by Scientologists. I heard Tom Cruise is a prank phone caller.. anyone???
And the places with the fewest:
The Virgin Islands: 2
Yukon: 7

The Amityville murders, the final testament?

Its been 36 years since the gruesome slayings on 112 Ocean Avenue in Amityville NY occured. To this day questions are still being asked as to what happened on that fateful morning at around 3 am on November 18, 1974. The entire Defeo family residing in the home was brutally shot in their beds, save for one surviving member, Ronald Defeo Jr. Later the eldest son was charged in the shooting deaths of the family.

Through the years, Ronald Defeo Jr. who, is currently incarcerated at Green Haven Correctional Facility, Beekman, New York has given conflicting versions of the story that has taken place. Ronald Defeo Jr. is reported as  being terminally ill, contacted world renowned psychic Jackie Barret to set the record straight once and for all, relying on her assistance and pyschic abilities to help confirm Defeo's story that he was not the lone killer of the family.  Defeo alleged that the actual murder of his family was committed by one of his sisters on the night in question.

Recently on  cable network's A&E channel, the show "Amityville, The Final Testament" aired detailing Jackie Barret's investigation into the the murders. Cameras followed as Barret did a  walk through of the home and gave her psychic impressions as to just what did occur that fateful morning so long ago. It was Barrets impression, that there was an evil presence in the home and that it did influence the members of the family to act. This would also lend validity to the Lutz's story that insisted the home was in fact haunted.

We all have seen the movies and we have all heard the story. In December 1975, George and Kathleen Lutz and their three children moved into 112 Ocean Avenue home in Amityville NY. Amityville is a suburban area located on Long Island. However, to this day there is much controversy and doubt as to the validity of the story.
 The release of  the book (The Amityville Horror, A True Story) written by Jay Anson, came out and later resulted in the movie "The Amityville Horror"  detailing the paranormal experiences of the Lutz family. The Lutz's endured much criticism over their story of their personal experiences in the home. Some facts that can not be disputed are that the home did in fact belong to the Defeo's previously and in fact the eldest son did in fact murder his family members. New evidence suggests that the Defeo eldest son did not however, kill all the family members  alone, as was once believed. There is some question now, as to the oldest Defeo daughter and her participation in the murders as well. It also bears repeating that George and Kathleen Lutz did take and pass a polygraph test about their experiences while in the 112 Ocean Avenue Home.
While we may never know all of the true details, one thing we can be sure of, murders of a most gruesome kind did take place in the home. That being said, many believe that sort of negative energy lasts forever, and as such it is more likely than not, something extraordinary and paranormal probably did occur in this home.
