Image by Ben Beard via FlickrA noisy home..On a regular basis I have what I like to call a "noisy" home. Most noises take place in my kitchen area, and are loud and startling. They mimic sounds of pots falling, knives dropping and cabinet doors shutting. The strange thing is, my home is only 30 years old and although this should be comforting, the fact of the matter it worries me more. Why? Because a haunting, that is attached to a place, disturbs me a lot more than a haunting that is attached to a person. If that is what in fact it is.
Of course upon inspection, there is nothing out of place. Sounds are similar to cabinet doors being closed hard as well. So what or who makes these noises? There are things beyond what we know, here in our sheltered little worlds, they are among us...the question is..what are they, and what do they want with us?
As humans we are trained to look for patterns in the chaos, not chaos in patterns, but often it is the chaos in our lives that holds our attention the longest, the unknowns, that make their presence known, only to baffle us more, and leave with a sense of smallness, and insignificance as a separate individual entity. If you want to know how close you are to the truth..try telling it to people..the ones that end up angry with you, or stop wanting anything to do with you, is the best sign you are next to something...something unworldly? Something real, where the unknown, becomes known...
