Fairies: Real or Insects?

Fairy image
Fairy?

It has come to our attention that there are a lot of people in society today that actually believe in fairies, and many claim to have either seen them or have photographs of them. We've seen some of the photos, and of those photos there are some that are pretty interesting while others look like insects and/or flying grasshoppers-moths. If you ask the photographer "How do you know this isn't a flying insect?" you usually will get this reply or some derivative of it, such as "You just know.." which speaks more to an intuitive knowledge over any factual one. TPB does give individual "intuition" credence as well.
However, that is hard for the average "Joe" to swallow. Fairies do have some history behind them to support their existence. There were, in fact a small race of people known as the Thuathe de Danaan in Ireland. Such small framed people were known to exist in Europe, the British Isles and in the Neolithic and Bronze Ages.
Some believe fairies are nature spirits that live in wooded areas, near lakes and  streams etc. Fairies are believed to be Pagan and also are touted to have advanced psychic senses but are shy and reclusive in nature.
Like most things that man is intrigued by, some say no such existence can be accepted until indisputable evidence can be offered.
The problem with this is that there is no such thing as indisputable evidence, as all evidence can be disputed.  With that being said, still, great photos are always elusive and finding someone brave enough to authenticate them even more challenging. After all, with all of todays digital advancements, one can create almost anything, and say this is proof. For those that belief no evidence is needed, for those that don't no evidence is enough.TPB says, what harm is there in believing? What say you?

  1. I've never seen one, certainly that doesn't mean they don't exist.
However- I am a little skeptical when it comes to "little winged people". Has anyone ever gotten a picture? I'd love to see it. All the ones floating around out there now have been proves altered/faked, I think.

  2. I know the belief of fairies goes back centuries ago as legends and myths could be found almost any where in the world. Now any digital photos and videos of fairies should be approached as if they were fake as anything now can be made by a computer. The only ones I came across that maybe real were the Cottingley Fairies (Google it), but they were said to been faked (read about it for the story). Note to blog's author maybe cut back on the ads, getting a feel of commercial site then a blog.

  3. Thank you for the comment on fairies, this is a new area we are researching. We are sorry you feel our 4 ads are too many but please keep in mind, this is how we are able to pay a bill or two. That being said, you'll find we're very interactive and involved with our readers and respond regularly to posts, so no we're not commercial, we're just trying to bring interesting topics and make a little, (very little) scratch on the side. Thanks for stopping by!
